For Parents and Teachers
Clean Up On Aisle Scream! is a funny-spooky game, made by a father and his young co-founder. Here is what you should know before you press play.
How scary is it?
Spooky, never gory. It has jump scares, creepy visitors and a quiet man with a cleaver, and it has plenty of jokes in between. It is made for ages 11 and up. Easy mode is relaxed, and you can start with Training Night, a gentle warm-up. Hardcore and Survival are for people who enjoy suffering.
How long does a session take?
A night shift is a few minutes, so it is easy to stop at a natural break. Progress is saved on the device.
Is there online play?
Yes, and it is optional. Solo play works with no internet at all once the game has loaded. Online play has leaderboards and co-op with up to three friends, and here is how it stays safe:
- No accounts, no emails. A player picks a nickname. Rude and look-alike names are turned away, and we ask players not to use their real name.
- No free-typed chat. Co-op has only a few quick shouts, such as “Help!” and “Nice!”.
- Private games with a code. A host shares a four-letter code, so you can play only with people you choose.
- Report and hide tools. Players can report names or scores, and the owner can hide a player or switch public co-op off.
- No ads and no trackers.
The full details are on the Privacy page. If you want your child’s nickname and scores removed, write to hello@dudeanddaddy.com and we will delete them.
Tips for parents
- Help younger players choose a nickname that is not their real name.
- Play your first night together. Training Night shows the controls.
- Prefer to stay offline? Solo play never needs the internet, and the file download works with no connection.
- On a tablet, add the game to the home screen for a full-screen app with its own icon. Here is how.
For teachers and homeschool groups
We wrote a short classroom kit with activities that use the game for writing, design and reading.
